Phantasialand theme park is open for approximately 10 months during the year, remaining closed from the end of January to the end of March. The opening hours vary depending upon the season in which you visit, with the spring to autumn timings differing from the winter season timings. The park is open every day, except for Christmas and New Year’s Day, and has shorter operating hours on New Year’s Eve.

How long should I spend at Phantasialand?

Whether you need a day or a couple of hours to explore Phantasialand depends on the number of rides you want to try, how much you enjoy browsing shops and restaurants, and the general crowd at the theme park. With the park’s sheer number of themed rides and roller coasters, ideally, you should keep aside a full day for a visit. During the peak summer season, they attract hundreds of tourists between July and August. You may need more than a full day to enjoy all the rides.

If you plan to breeze in and out of the theme park, keep aside 5 to 6 hours. This will allow you to tick off a few of the highlights. However, you are more likely to feel rushed and won’t have time to linger or enjoy the atmosphere. A core part of the Phantasialand experience is strolling through the themed zones, while their unique music scores fill the surroundings.

To comfortably experience most of the park, including the rides, shows, and themed areas, you'd be better off spending a full day there. This will allow you to enjoy the thrilling rides and water coasters at your own pace. You can even catch one of the themed shows and dine at one of the Phantasialand restaurants.
If you are a die-hard theme park fan and want to experience everything the park offers, including multiple roller coaster rides, consider staying the night. Book a stay at one of the Phantasialand hotels and spend an extra half day, or even a second day to ensure you tick off all your wishlist.

Frequently asked questions about Phantasialand opening times

The Phantasialand opening times are between 9am to 6pm from 28 March and 15 November. The Phantasialand attractions and rides open at 10am. From July to August, the theme park is open until 7pm. For the Wintertraum event, Phantasialand is open from 11am to 8pm between 16 November and 26 January.
